One of the most important missions of Eesti Kontsert is to lead children and young people closer to classical music and to cultivate an audience that loves this music. Therefore Eesti Kontsert supports KRATT already since 2021. KRATT gathers young up-and-comers and is a worthy addition to Eesti Kontsert’s hitherto highly popular series of school concerts, where renowned performers inspire children and young people to love music. KRATT, with its exciting workshops and joint musical experiences, is a bold step forward. One of Estonia’s most important concert venues, the Estonia Concert Hall, is just the place to test yourself in front of an audience under a spotlight.

Kratt is a well-known figure in Estonian folklore who works his master and whose task is to make the master rich. He is very hardworking, resourceful, dedicated and trustworthy. Every child has their own KRATT to bring them musical experiences, friends and the joy of playing together! Thus, the master of our KRATT is MUSIC!

KRATT Festival is a festival for young musicians, aged 10-23. The special feature of the festival is that it brings together young musicians from Estonia, Latvia, Finland and further afield for a short week in August, to play music together and to improvise. This year, the festival will host three orchestras and two educational and exciting workshops. Each orchestra and workshop will perform at its own concert and workshop. This time, we will start the festival on Saturday 17 August and finish on Friday 23 August.
